“No one must be left alone with a cancer diagnosis. Only with a profoundly empathetic approach and active support can we help those afflicted by cancer and their relatives. I consider it a great honour to be able to support the Deutsche Krebshilfe in its exemplary efforts with this benefit concert. Where words of consolation end, music begins,” says Anne-Sophie Mutter.
In addition to classical masterworks by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and Franz Schubert, Anne-Sophie Mutter and her long-standing musical partner at the piano, Lambert Orkis, will interpret works by Clara Schumann and Ottorino Respighi. After deduction of costs, all ticket sales revenues will be donated to the Deutsche Krebshilfe. The organizer and presenter of the benefit concert is the Konzertdirektion Dr. Rudolf Goette GmbH, one of the oldest owner-operated concert presenters in Germany. All those involved are foregoing fees and payment.
