Ye-Eun Choi, first presented to the public in Bach’s Double Concerto with Anne-Sophie Mutter in 2007, made her outstanding debut with Orchestre National De France under Riccardo Muti at Maison de la Radio in Paris.
Ye-Eun Choi has worked with the world’s leading conductors, including Riccardo Muti, Mariss Jansons, Charles Dutoit, Christoph Eschenbach, Andre Previn, Jirí Belohlávek , Michael Tilson Thomas, Jaap Van Zweden, Yannick Nézet-Séguin, Manfred Honeck, Vladimir Ashkenazy, Vladimir Fedoseyev, Yuri Bashmet, Neeme Järvi, Alan Gilbert, Kent Nagano, Andrew Manze, Stéphane Denève, Nicholas McGegan, Sergey Neller, Hugh Wolf and Christian Vasquez.

A long-standing relationship connects Ye-Eun Choi and Anne-Sophie Mutter, two artists who regularly share the stage, as in this and the coming season, performing chamber music throughout Europe, the USA and Asia, together with the cellists Daniel Müller-Schott, Kian Soltani and Pablo Ferrandez, as well as violist Vladimir Babeshko. Extensive concert tours take them to concert halls such as Vienna’s Konzerthaus, the Berlin Philharmonie, Alte Oper Frankfurt, Palau de la Música Catalana, Carnegie Hall in New York, Davis Symphony Hall in San Francisco and Suntory Hall in Tokyo.
Ye-Eun Choi frequently appears at important festivals such as the Schleswig-Holstein Music Festival, Dresdner Musikfestspiele, Verbier Festival, Recontres Musicales d’Évian, La Folle Journée, Festspiele Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, Moritzburg Festival and the Concordia Festival in Kazan.
Ye-Eun Choi’s debut CD was released by Deutsche Grammophon, featuring sonatas by Mendelssohn, Schubert and Prokofiev.
Born in Seoul, Ye-Eun Choi studied with Ana Chumachenco at the Munich Music Academy and has been supported by Anne Sophie Mutter as a fellow of the Anne-Sophie Mutter Foundation.
She made her debut with New York Philharmonic Orchestra under the baton of Alan Gilbert in 2009 and was awarded the European Cultural Young Artist Award in 2013.
Ye-Eun Choi performs on a violin by J. B. Guadagnini, built in Parma around 1765, generously loaned to her by a private collector.
