2011 - 2023 Virtuosi Tours

South America Tour – Video Blog The Mutter Virtuosi Tour 2019

In November Anne-Sophie Mutter goes on tour with Mutter’s Virtuosi, the exclusive ensemble of soloists supported by her foundation: together they embark upon their first tour of South America, with concerts in Buenos Aires, Lima and Bogotá. The planned concert in Frutillar (Chile) had to be cancelled on short notice due to the political unrest in Chile at this moment. Felix Mendelssohn’s “Octet for four Violins, Two Violas and Two Cellos” opens the concerts, followed by Johann Sebastian Bach’s “Double Concerto for Two Violins” and Antonio Vivaldi’s “Four Seasons”.

The ensemble of soloists under Mutter’s musical direction includes 13 string players this year, plus the Norwegian harpsichordist Knut Johannessen. In 2011 Anne-Sophie Mutter undertook her first tour with the Virtuosi, followed by tours of Asia in 2013, North America in 2014, European summer festivals in 2015 and eight German cities, Aix-en-Provence and Barcelona in 2016.
