The ensemble of soloists under Mutter’s musical direction includes 13 string players this year, plus the Norwegian harpsichordist Knut Johannessen. In 2011 Anne-Sophie Mutter undertook her first tour with the Virtuosi, followed by tours of Asia in 2013, North America in 2014, European summer festivals in 2015 and eight German cities, Aix-en-Provence and Barcelona in 2016.
