Siemens Music Prize 2008
Anne-Sophie Mutter is this year's recipient of the International Ernst von Siemens Music Prize, which comes with a cash endowment of 200,000 euros. The violinist is donating half of the prize money to the "Anne-Sophie Mutter Foundation", which was officially recognized by the German government on July 7, 2008. Read more

The Mozart Project
More than beautiful performances – 2005 / 2006
Anne-Sophie Mutter, who celebrated her 30th stage anniversary in 2006, also celebrated Mozart’s 250th anniversary in the same year with a series of new recordings of all his major works for violin. She recorded the trios live in Baden-Baden with Sir André Previn and Daniel Müller-Schott, the concertos in London with the London Philharmonic Orchestra, and the Sinfonia concertante with violist Yuri Bashmet. She recorded the sonatas with Lambert Orkis. The first of the resulting three releases were the concertos, in the fall of 2005. The orchestra was conducted by Anne-Sophie Mutter herself. Read more

than beautiful performances - The Mozart Project Story
This project, she stresses, has in effect been gestating ever since she first fell in love with Mozart at the age of six. It continued when she gave her debut at nine with a provincial orchestra, and intensified when she was 13, playing the G major Concerto under the baton of Herbert von Karajan. Read more
Foundation
"Music is only touching when it tells a story. And I am on the track of upcoming story tellers," says Anne-Sophie Mutter about the foundation she brought to life. Thanks to the support of the Anne-Sophie Mutter Foundation, Daniel Müller-Schott, Roman Patkoló, Sergey Khachatryan and Arabella Steinbacher have also become great "story tellers". Occasionally even at world premieres, because in addition to traditional promotion measures, the Foundation also commissions compositions for its scholarship students. And: Mutter‘s Virtuosi, an ensemble of former and current scholarship students under the management of its name provider and founder, went on tour for the first time in 2011. Read more
