Honour in Salzburg<\/strong><\/p>\n On September 19, 2025, Anne-Sophie Mutter was awarded the \u201cWolfgang Sch\u00fcssel Prize 2025\u201d by the International Salzburg Association (ISA). The laudatory speech for the prize winner was given by the President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen. Her commitment is reflected in her collaboration with many young musicians, whom she accompanies and supports on their journey,\u201d emphasized Ursula von der Leyen in her laudatory speech.<\/p>\n The Wolfgang Sch\u00fcssel Prize is awarded to individuals for outstanding achievements at the intersection of business, science, and culture, with a focus on an open, tolerant attitude committed to European culture.<\/p>\n With deep gratitude Anne-Sophie Mutter accepted this award, presented to her by its namesake Dr. Wolfgang Sch\u00fcssel.<\/p>\n Anne-Sophie Mutter: \u201cThis recognition means a great deal to me, not only because of the values it represents, but also because of its strong connection to Salzburg, a city that has played such an immense role in my life and my artistic career.<\/p>\n I feel particularly honored to follow in the footsteps of individuals who have made lasting contributions at the intersection of culture, science, and public life. My sincere thanks go to the jury and to everyone involved in this meaningful award. Salzburg is where my international life on stage began 48 years ago, and it remains a source of inspiration and deep personal connection.<\/p>\n I firmly believe in the power of music to promote dialogue, build bridges and support the next generation.
