Introduced by the Pittsburgh Symphony as \u201cthe next Yo-Yo Ma\u201d, Pablo Ferr\u00e1ndez has turned into a cello phenomenon and one of the most in-demand instrumentalists of his generation.<\/p>\n

His debut album under SONY Classical, \u201cReflections\u201d, released in 2021, was highly acclaimed by the
\ncritics and praised with the Opus Klassik Award. In Fall 2022 Pablo Ferr\u00e1ndez released his second album, which comprised the Brahms Double Concerto, performed with Anne-Sophie Mutter, the Czech Philharmonic under M. Honeck, as well as Clara Schumann\u2019s Piano Trio, performed with Ms. Mutter and Lambert Orkis.<\/p>\n

One of the most sought-after cellists, Pablo\u2019s recent seasons have seen him appearing with the Boston Symphony, Cleveland Orchestra, Los Angeles Philharmonic, San Francisco Symphony, Pittsburgh Symphony, Filarmonica della Scala, Orchestra dell’Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia, Orchestra Sinfonica Nazionale della RAI, Tonhalle Orchestra, Bayerischen Rundfunk Symphony Orchestra, Bamberg Symphony, Munich Philharmonic, HR-Sinfonieorchester, Konzerthaus Berlin Orchestra, NDR Elbphiharmonie Orchestra, NDR Radiophilharmonie, Rotterdam Philharmonic, Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, Belgian National Orchestra, Orchestra National de France, Oslo Philharmonic, Macao Symphony, Taipei Symphony and Seoul Philharmonic.<\/p>\n

Ferr\u00e1ndez is frequently invited to international renown festivals such as Verbier, Salzburg, Dresden, Rheingau, Sion, Aix-en-Provence, Tsinandali, Tongyeong, Abu Dhabi and Dvorak Prague Festival, among others.<\/p>\n

Highlights of the 25\/26 season include the debuts with the Philadelphia Orchestra, National Symphony Orchestra (USA), Toronto Symphony, Utah Symphony, Finnish Radio Symphony, SWR Sinfonieorchester, NCPA Symphony Orchestra and with the Tsinandali Festifval Symphony under Zubin Mehta. Also the returns to Boston Symphony, Pittsburgh Symphony, Vienna Symphony, Antwerp Symphony, Festival Strings Luzern, Barcelona Symphony, Tenerife Symphony, Orquesta Filarmonica de Gran Canaria, Orquesta de la Comunitat Valenciana, and Orchestra Sinfonica Nazionale della RAI.<\/p>\n

Additionally, Pablo will be Artist-in-Residence at the Monte-Carlo Philharmonic Orchestra and the Castilla y Le\u00f3n Symphony Orchestra, performing various programs with the orchestras as well as in recital.<\/p>\n

The 25\/26 also includes the Trio tour with Anne-Sophie Mutter & Y. Bronfman with concerts in Munich, Hamburg, Geneva, Zurich, Paris and Barcelona; and European tours with the European Union Youth Orchestra and V. Petrenko and with the Spanish National Symphony and D. Afhkam.
Mr. Ferr\u00e1ndez plays the Stradivarius \u201cArchinto\u201d 1689, on a generous life-long loan from a member of the Stretton Society.<\/p>\n

Im M\u00e4rz 2021 ver\u00f6ffentlichte er sein Deb\u00fctalbum auf SONY Classical, Reflections, das von der Kritik einhellig gelobt wurde und 2021 einen Opus Klassik gewann. Im Herbst 2022 erschien sein zweites Album, auf dem er das Brahms-Doppelkonzert gemeinsam mit Anne-Sophie Mutter und der Tschechischen Philharmonie unter der Leitung von Manfred Honeck spielt sowie das Klaviertrio von Clara Schumann, gemeinsam mit Anne-Sophie Mutter und Lambert Orkis.<\/p>

H\u00f6hepunkte der j\u00fcngeren Vergangenheit umfassen seine Konzertauftritte mit dem Los Angeles Philharmonic, der Tschechischen Philharmonie, dem Santa Cecilia Orchester, dem Seoul Philharmonic, dem Royal Philharmonic, dem Symphonieorchester des Bayerischen Rundfunks, dem London Philharmonic, der Academy of St. Martin in the Fields, dem Israel Philharmonic, der Philharmonie Rotterdam und dem Symphonieorchester Barcelona, sowie Artist-in-Residence-Positionen bei der Filarmonica Arturo Toscanini, dem Symphonieorchester von Teneriffa und dem Orquesta de Valencia.<\/p>

W\u00e4hrend der Spielzeit 2022\/23 kehrt er zur Hollywood Bowl zur\u00fcck, um mit dem Los Angeles Philharmonic aufzutreten, gibt sein Deb\u00fct bei den Salzburger Festspielen mit dem ORF Symphonieorchester Wien, unternimmt eine Europa-Tournee mit Anne-Sophie Mutter und dem London Philharmonic und eine Spanien-Tournee mit dem Symphonieorchester Antwerpen unter Elim Chan. Ferner tritt er wieder mit dem Santa Cecilia Orchester unter Daniele Gatti auf, mit dem Konzerthausorchester unter Andris Poga und mit der Baltimore Symphony unter K. Ryan; Deb\u00fcts sind mit dem Orchestra Filarmonica della Scala unter Riccardo Chailly, dem Oslo Philharmonic unter Vasily Petrenko, dem Tonk\u00fcnstlerorchester unter R. Ferr\u00e1ndez gibt Rezitals in der Carnegie Hall, der Wigmore Hall, der Philharmonie K\u00f6ln, der Philharmonie Berlin, dem Palau de la M\u00fasica Catalana, der Sociedad Filarm\u00f3nica in Bilbao, in Schloss Elmau und beim Sion Festival. Ferner ist er Artist-in-Residence des BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra.<\/p>

Pablo Ferr\u00e1ndez wurde 1991 in Madrid in eine Musikerfamilie geboren und wurde mit 13 Jahren als Sch\u00fcler der prestigetr\u00e4chtigen Escuela Superior de M\u00fasica Reina Sof\u00eda angenommen, wo Natalia Shakhovskaya seine Lehrerin war. Danach schloss er seine Studien an der Kronberg Academy bei Frans Helmerson ab und wurde Stipendiat der Anne-Sophie Mutter Stiftung.<\/p>

Pablo Ferr\u00e1ndez spielt das Stradivari-Cello \u201eLord Aylesford\u201c (1696), das ihm die Nippon Music Foundation als Leihgabe zur Verf\u00fcgung stellt, sowie das Stradivari-Cello \u201eArchinto\u201c (1689), das ihm ein Mitglied der Stretton Society gro\u00dfz\u00fcgigerweise lebenslang zur Verf\u00fcgung stellt.<\/p>
