Berlin, January 12, 2026 \u2013 Anne-Sophie Mutter<\/strong>, one of Germany’s most important artists and four-time Grammy winner, will celebrate her 50th stage anniversary and five decades in the recording studio in 2026 and 2027. The anniversary year will feature an extensive, forward-looking programme that underscores her curiosity, commitment, and creative drive for the future of music.<\/p>\n Deutsche Grammophon<\/strong> is marking this milestone with a comprehensive catalogue retrospective, spanning over 40 years of collaboration, tracing the course of this incredible career: reissues of iconic recordings on vinyl and a series of digital albums curated by Anne-Sophie Mutter paint a panorama of her artistic development\u2014from her early recordings under Herbert von Karajan to her most recent recordings.<\/p>\n On February 6<\/strong>, Anne-Sophie Mutter’s first recording, made in 1978, of Mozart’s Violin Concertos Nos. 3 & 5 with the Berliner Philharmoniker and Herbert von Karajan will be released as a new edition with new remastering in the audiophile vinyl series \u201cThe Original Source Series.\u201d This was the first collaboration between Anne-Sophie Mutter, then just 14 years old, and Herbert von Karajan, and also her first recording for Deutsche Grammophon.<\/p>\n The \u201cOriginal Source Series\u201d presents outstanding recordings from the 1970s in a whole new sound quality. To achieve this, the renowned Emil Berliner Studios have remastered and edited the original four- and eight-track tapes in 100% analog quality (AAA) using technologies developed specifically for the production of this series. The differences in sound quality compared to the original releases are considerable: greater clarity, more subtleties and improvements in frequency response, as well as less background noise, distortion and compression, enable an audiophile listening experience like never before.<\/p>\n A series of digital albums, personally curated by Anne-Sophie Mutter, will be released at irregular intervals in 2026 and 2027: Each album will focus on a city with which Anne-Sophie Mutter has had outstanding musical encounters, concerts, and recordings. We will follow the artist \u201caround the globe,\u201d beginning on February 13, 2026<\/strong>, with the album \u201cAnne-Sophie Mutter – My London<\/strong>\u201d and traveling via Berlin, Lucerne, Salzburg, and Vienna to Tokyo and New York.
