Award ceremony in Bucharest: “I am deeply honored to have received the very first „Enescu Festival Award for Excellence“ ever presented by the Enescu Festival. To be acknowledged in recognition of my almost 50-year journey in music in this way by such a prestigious and visionary institution is both humbling and profoundly moving. My heartfelt thanks to the Festival’s leadership and the jury for this exceptional honor”.
On this evening it was a special pleasure for Anne-Sophie Mutter to perform with conductor Cristian Macelaru and the Orchestre National de France, who were honored with the Symphonic Music Award at the International Classical Music Awards (ICMA) for their exceptional album featuring works by George Enescu, released in 2025 by Deutsche Grammophon.
