Let the Music unite the World.
Anne-Sophie Mutter versteht Musik nicht nur als künstlerischen Ausdruck, sondern auch als verbindende Kraft zwischen Menschen und Kulturen. Als weltweit gefragte Geigerin ist sie auf allen großen Bühnen der Welt zu Hause – und nutzt ihre internationale Präsenz, um sich für humanitäre Zwecke einzusetzen.
Mit Benefizkonzerten und sozialen Projekten unterstützt sie unter anderem Hilfsaktionen für die Ukraine und Organisationen wie Save the Children. Ihr Wirken zeigt: Musik kann Brücken bauen, Hoffnung geben und Menschen über Grenzen hinweg vereinen.

Ein besonderes Interesse der Künstlerin gilt der zeitgenössischen Violinliteratur.
Thomas Adès, Unsuk Chin, Sebastian Currier, Aftab Darvishi, Henri Dutilleux, Sofia Gubaidulina, Witold Lutoslawski, Norbert Moret, Krzysztof Penderecki, Sir André Previn, Wolfgang Rihm, Jörg Widmann und John Williams haben ihr Werke gewidmet.

Mit technischem Feinsinn, interpretatorischer Tiefe und einem unverwechselbaren Klang hat Anne-Sophie Mutter über Jahrzehnte hinweg ein breites Repertoire eingespielt – von der klassischen und romantischen Literatur bis hin zu zeitgenössischen Kompositionen, viele davon eigens für sie geschrieben. Diese Klangdokumente sind nicht nur musikalische Meisterwerke, sondern auch Zeugnisse einer Musikerin, die das Geigenspiel unserer Epoche maßgeblich geprägt hat.

Die Anne-Sophie Mutter Stiftung unterstützt junge, hochbegabte Musikerinnen und Musiker durch Stipendien, Mentoring und Auftrittsmöglichkeiten.
Ziel ist es, künstlerischen Nachwuchs nachhaltig zu fördern und musikalische Exzellenz weiterzugeben.

Almost 30 years! My foundation has given 13 commissions, acquired 8 instruments, nurtured 30 scholars, and many more string players from around the world. Music is what makes the world go round, makes life worth living. It is, after all, a form of love.

What an unforgettable day! Celebrating my 50th stage anniversary in Lucerne where it all began🎻 I was so happy to perform a programme featuring two commissions of mine: André Previn’s "Second Violin Concerto" and @aftab.darvishi’s legendary "Likoo" alongside the great master Mozart.
We also had a very private celebration at the beautiful Rachmaninoff Villa, surrounded by some of my favourite composers (how cool is that?!). And the highlight of the evening was the performance of the one and only magician from New York, my long-time inspiration, @chambermagic!
Thank you to everyone who has been part of this journey, to the @lucernefestival and @rachmaninoff_foundation. To my fellow musicians, the audiences, my friends, and everyone who has supported me along the way. Your love and encouragement mean more than words can express. Here’s to the power of music, to unforgettable memories and to many more moments still to come❤️

My 50th anniversary on stage can begin!✨ #ASM50
This morning, I returned to the place where my journey began 50 years ago: St. Charles Hall in Meggen, where I made my debut at the Lucerne Festival.
It was wonderful to have a fun and inspiring conversation with the festival’s new head, Sebastian Nordmann.
We were also treated to a magnificent performance by the amazing bass player Roman Patkoló, accompanied by the wonderful pianist Oleksandra Fedosova.
What a true genius Roman is! He was a scholar of my foundation and has inspired many composers — among them Sebastian Currier, who wrote "Ringtones" especially for him.

A little behind-the-scenes look at my preparations for my 50th stage anniversary in Lucerne 🎻✨
I picked out my stage outfit and went to see Dietmar Rexhausen to prepare his fabulous new fiddle - the one I had the pleasure of playing, among other occasions, during my John Williams Open Air Tour in 2025. That day, though, I was here with my Strad… she needed a few magic touches too! ✨
And, of course, I have some cuddle time with Bonnie on the sofa. She’s going to stay home this time… 😩 I think all the travelling is just too stressful for her.

This summer has been filled with short trips, intense studies, and preparations for next year’s two world premieres. I’m a little behind schedule… But life happens and it needs to be lived and enjoyed along the way!
@jennysavilleofficial was a huge discovery for me. The depth and intensity of her paintings moved and inspired me deeply. As did the @labiennale as a whole. And @chihulystudio is a long time fav of mine. So much to take in, reflect on, and carry home.
